Please join us for Down + Dirty at the Hartford Art School on February 16, 2024.
The evening begins in the Koopman Commons, with appetizers and drinks at check-in.
From there, you’ll join your assigned 1.5 hour class, lecture, or demo led by our renowned faculty and staff, and assisted by our talented students!
With several outstanding classes on the “course schedule” you’ll want to sign up early (or consider a sponsorship) for priority registration.
All proceeds raised through this event will be added into the endowment line of the
Robert & Renée Samuels Faculty and Staff Development Fund allowing HAS leadership to make larger award amounts each year towards faculty and staff creative projects or job skills enhancement and development.
Proceeds will be earmarked in honor of Renée Samuels, a longtime friend and supporter of the Hartford Art School. Renée has served on the University of Hartford’s Board of Regents; as a member and co-president of the former Hartford Art School Auxiliary; and held numerous terms as both a Trustee and Corporator of the Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc. since 1988. She is also the lead donor and namesake of the Renée Samuels Center in Taub Hall. Renée was elected as an HASE, Inc. Honorary Trustee in May 2023.
