Background

Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc., a tax-exempt corporation, exists to promote and assist the Hartford Art School in its objective to provide excellence in visual arts education. 
The assets of Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc. (“HASE, Inc.”) are its endowment funds and other gifts, including art, made for the benefit of the Hartford Art School.

The HASE, Inc. Board oversees the management of the HASE, Inc. endowment and sets investment and spending policies with respect to all assets owned by Hartford Art School Endowment, Inc. in accordance with donor intent, to advance academic and program excellence. The HASE, Inc. Board does not have governance responsibilities with respect to the Hartford Art School or the University.
